Our facial scanning software relies on advanced depth sensors to accurately map your face. These sensors are not available on most Android phones, and are available on iPhones from the iPhone X and newer models. We currently do not provide an Android app. If your phone is not compatible, we suggest borrowing a friend or partner's phone just to complete the scanning step. If this is not possible we can cancel your order.

We must collect your payment and shipping information BEFORE you scan your face using our app so your face scan can be merged with your Ellio Labs account profile. We will authorize your credit card when you place your order on our website, but your card will not be charged until you have completed the face scan. If you do not complete the face scan on the app, the credit card authorization will lapse and you will not be charged.

‣ Follow the on-screen instructions on the app carefully. If you are having difficulties, please contact us so we can resolve the issue personally.

FOR BEST RESULTS:

‣ Scan your bare face, free of any shiny moisturizers or cosmetic products

‣ Scan your face in the late afternoon when natural morning-time swelling is at its lowest point

‣ Do not drink alcohol or consume excessively salty foods for at least 12 hours prior to scanning to decrease under-eye fluid build-up

‣ Apply a cold compress to the eye area for 10 minutes immediately prior to scanning your face

The mask uses focused, gentle, and personalized compression to prevent the fluid build-up that causes eye bags. The skin under the eye is thinner than in other areas of the body. When lying flat overnight, the drop in hydrostatic pressure causes fluid to leak into the subcutaneous tissue under the eye. The fluid slowly drains away throughout the day as standing increases the hydrostatic pressure. Our mask addresses this natural physiological process by applying a gentle counter-pressure to prevent the overnight fluid leakage. The repetitive nightly expansion of under eye skin is one of the major causes of sagging skin and eye-bag growth common with aging and thus nightly use of the mask can help prevent more chronic eye bag issues as well.

The mask is designed to fit like a glove and hug your unique facial contours. When worn correctly, you will feel a gentle compression of the area around the eye. The mask is offset out around the eyeball so you will not feel any pressure here. You should tighten the head strap so the mask is comfortably snug, but not tight. Excessive tightening of the mask may lead to visible crease marks around the eye openings after use.

The mask inhibits a natural, nightly physiological process that often leads to puffy eyes or eye bags. Therefore, you may see results after a single night of use. Habitual nightly use helps prevent the formation of chronic eye bags in younger users. Chronic eye bags naturally worsen with age as ligaments slacken and stretch, skin loses elasticity and muscle tone gets worse. For older users, the mask will prevent daily swelling, but have a limited effect on skin elasticity or fat herniation.

The mask is designed to be worn at night while sleeping. We recommend 8 hours of wear, but the key is that the mask is worn while lying flat. Puffy eyes result from a reduction in hydrostatic pressure while lying flat. The reduced pressure causes fluid to leak into the subcutaneous tissue and builds up under the eye where the skin is thinner.

Yes. Eyelash extensions up to 13mm are compatible with either mask. The mask is offset away from the face to avoid compression of the lashes. That said, very long lashes could be restricted at the corners of the eye opening on the Eye Mask depending on a user's face shape. We recommend those with false eyelashes opt for the Sleep Mask to maximize comfort.

With the personalized fit of the mask, your mask does not need to be tight in order to restrict fluid build-up in the under-eye area. Diet, exercise, and other lifestyle factors affect your face shape. To ensure an optimal mask fit, we recommend replacing your mask with a fresh face scan and mask every 6 months. The efficacy of your mask is tied to how how well it molds to your unique contours. Your mask is made of thermoplastic materials which are sturdy, but could degrade over time, especially if exposed to high temperatures.

Yes! Applying skincare products like serums, moisturizers, or night creams beneath your mask liner will not hurt the mask and may increase the absorption of the applied products. Make sure to clean your mask liner at least weekly with warm water and a mild soap to prevent excessive build up of skincare product residues.

The grey inner liner is made of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) while the white outer frame is made of nylon, both of which are biocompatible and are safe for extended skin contact. The head strap is constructed primarily of neoprene.

Your mask frame and liner are made of waterproof materials and can be gently washed with warm water and mild soap. You should remove the head strap prior to washing as the neoprene material may absorb some water. Do not use boiling water to clean the mask as it may melt or deform the mask.

It is a good idea to wash your mask liner weekly, or more frequently if you are not diligent at removing cosmetic products before going to bed. Skincare products can be worn underneath the mask liner and may help their absorption.

The mask restricts night-time fluid build-up in the under-eye area which is a natural physiological process for many people. If you stop wearing the mask, this process will resume and puffy eyes may occur. That said, the mask does not need to be worn every night or all night for a partial benefit to occur. The maximum benefit comes from habitual mask wear, and we recommend daily use of the product.

If you follow the Scan Like A Pro guidance in our app, your face scan will be accurate to within 0.8 millimeters. This means your mask will fit like a glove... if gloves were custom manufactured just for your hands.

For best results, you should wear your mask at night while sleeping as this will prevent eye bags from initially forming. Wearing your mask during waking hours will help assist gravity and natural lymphatic drainage to reduce the fluid build up that causes puffy eyes, but it will not prevent them from reforming overnight as you sleep.
